The kitchen design world today is highly technical, exacting, specialized and fast-changing. In the appliance field alone, there are myriads of new models and technologies introduced every year. We stay on top of this complex industry by attending events and by regularly networking with colleagues nationwide.
In addition, both our principals, Robert Schwartz and Karen Williams, are passionate about food and wine, and very knowledgeable chefs. They regularly attend hands-on cooking programs, and food and wine events, so they understand how a well designed kitchen contributes to the pleasure of cooking and entertaining. They are particularly well qualified to guide clients through the time-consuming process of making decisions regarding kitchen equipment.
At St. Charles of New York, we collaborate with allied professionals in a variety of ways, depending on their needs. We can begin with a simple conceptual plan and overview of the project and produce a detailed plan… including floor plan, elevations and perspectives, millwork plans, electrical and plumbing. Or we can execute from tighter plans provided to us. We're happy to meet with a client, if that's appropriate, or simply work directly with allied professionals behind the scenes.
Either way, we offer a valuable service that goes beyond the normal millwork firm's excellent product. The millwork firm simply builds to architectural specs. Where we add value is in using our technical, functional and space planning expertise to mold a project up front. Additionally, we see the project through from beginning to end, making sure it is installed properly. We are much more than a vendor who delivers product.
